Your AllPackers Expeditions team will pick you up directly from your hotel in Cusco. Our professional guides will provide a briefing about the trek, ensuring you are well-prepared for the adventure ahead.
We will then embark on a 3-hour scenic drive through the stunning Andean highlands, passing small villages and breathtaking landscapes. Along the way, our guides will share insights about the local culture, history, and traditions.

We will arrive in the town of Cusipata, where you will enjoy a nutritious Andean breakfast (included). This meal is designed to give you energy for the trek ahead.
Hot beverages: Coffee, tea, and coca tea (to help with altitude).
Freshly baked bread, eggs, fruits, and pancakes.
Our guides will also conduct a final equipment and safety check before continuing to the trailhead.

After a short drive from Cusipata, we will reach the starting point of the trek at 4,600m (15,092 ft).
Your AllPackers Expeditions trekking guide will lead the way, setting a comfortable pace to help with acclimatization. The hike takes approximately 2 hours and covers 4 km (2.5 miles) uphill.

Congratulations! Youβve reached the breathtaking summit of Vinicunca, one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world.

After soaking in the views, we will begin our descent back to the trailhead, which takes about 1.5 hours. Our team will be there to assist and make sure everyone feels comfortable during the downhill trek.

Once we return to Cusipata, a delicious buffet lunch will be waiting for us. You will enjoy a variety of local and international dishes, including vegetarian options.
